Nice, but I've never been able to take that airline seriously, due to their silly tail logo:

That's great news, thanks for sharing.
Some of the comments after that article are nuts: Quote:

We fly Alaska frequently and find them a friendly airline. It's nice to see them getting even better.

A lot of people will pick them now because you know at front that is 25 bucks. With the other airlines it depends on how nice is the guy at the front desk how much are you going to robbed at front

Alaska Air ROCKS !!
STS (Santa Rosa) to SEA a dozen times a year, add PDX, LAX, SNA (the OC) and SAN (SD) and that's 99% of my non-Euro (or TX) travel. Plus a case of wine flies free. Alaska Air ROCKS !! Now I need to check if they will really take a bike for $25. Last edited by donevwil; 07-21-2017 at 11:57 PM. |

That's awesome! Southwest and Frontier charge $75 each way for bikes. Most other major airlines (i.e., American, Delta, United, charge $150 each way).

I fly them a couple times each year and think this is awesome. Def a west coast airline so dont think itll trigger any price war but would be cool if it did.

Always been one of my fave airlines to fly domestically, even before the survey came out confirming this.
Now.. even more reason to fly 'em. |

That's a pretty silly argument.

I'm a big fan of Alaska Airlines. They more than treated me right one time.
Once some year ago.....drove from Central Florida to Alaska with a guy (about 6500 miles), to about 500 miles W of Anchorage. Had a non refundable no change return ticket about 10 days out from when we arrived. Got tired of the guy, and decided I wanted to come home after a few days....called them and they said to change my ticket and come back early.....about $1100....and to fly local to Anchorage and get the return ticket there. I said Ok (that's how ready I was to come home), so took a local to Anchorage, then went to counter to get my ticket back to Orlando....and lady at desk said.....No need to pay $1100, I'll send you home for $275. I know they are thought of as West Coast but if you live in Seattle/NW there really are hard to beat. I can fly from here direct to Boston, NYC, DC, Philly, Raleigh/Durham, Orlando, Tampa, all the West Coast destinations and Mountains, small venues in the NW and West, and direct flights to most of the Hawaiian islands. I fly with them all the time and the are rarely late and they treat their clients well.

I don't work for Alaska but I sure would. They're a really nice airline. That someone would choose an airline based on their logo strikes me as odd. The logo represents their heritage in Alaska and is based on a real person.
They have an excellent on board product IMHO. |
