Northern VT was pretty sublime yesterday. A little chilly but ain't complaining. Knee warmers, vest, gloves, light ear warmer (I use hair headband-5-pack for $1.99 or such) A little past peak foliage, perhaps accounting for the near absence of cars on most of the ride.

Today is transition day in Fall Long Weekend tour with GF. Rain everywhere. Heading south ttoward Northampton area. If rain is not too bad may stop an do a ride somewhere. May do Great River Ride on Sunday.

It was hotter than summer here today and it is close to 90 degrees at my house. The water looked good on today's ride.

[QUOTE=Liberace;1837843]If anyone is in the Northern New Jersey area, you have to map a ride that stops in at Hacklebarney Cider Mill in Chester, NJ 07930. Great riding around there and the cider donuts are quite tasty.

Line at Hacklebarney today.

Depending on where exactly, about 72-74 degrees. There were a bunch of surf competitions over the weekend.

What are you running for tires there?

Amazing weather this morning. Did a nice dirt/pavement combo ride. Avian highlight was the family of 4 Pileated Woodpeckers that were have a grand old time drumming and chatting to them selves in a couple of trees above the dirt road by the river.

So I found a new cider doughnut dealer, looks like my regular place was lacing them with something. It all started off with 2 doughnuts and a stolen apple. Only one doughnut made it into the picture.

Then this happened...

Only 2 of the 8 purchased doughnuts made it to the kitchen. The others were inhaled, a new personal record was set with these new lighter cider doughnuts, 6 doughnuts!

That many donuts making it home outside of your tummy should be considered a success.

Ya, das ist gut! I must admit I felt a little queezy, but by no means as queezy as with my previous supplier. If I ate 6 of those you could have called me Ralph for the rest of the day. I was real hungry and to be fair my pooch had half of one.

campy pal, it's a testament to how good those cidar donuts are...I can see that you are willing to risk life and limb to bring them home to the family...ever experience plastic bag getting stuck in moving parts?

No never, knock on wood.

Actually that thought did not even enter into my mind (it should have), I was so determined to buy all the doughnuts my remaining $4 could and take them with me. Another pic for the doughnut lovahs...
