Campy Record 11 front der
What the heck is the Campagnolo front derailleur frame mount reinforcement system. There's nothing in their manual or on their web site as to what it's for. Near as I can tell it's a tiny lever to provide a little more support but....

Yeah, I saw that, thanks, but does it go right against the frame or maybe a wee metal plate to help disperse the load, there was nothing in the box.

You should have received a small piece of thick tape to apply to the downtube where the S2 lever rests.

Found it! So, it's Shimano that provides you your choice of two metal plates and Campy that gives you a "small piece of thick tape".

I seem to recall that Shimano calls their system "cage angle adjust" or something along those lines.
I found a tiny Allen setscrew behind the cage on my 6800 mech and wondered what it was. It was installed on my CX-Zero without the metal plate and without the screw touching the frame. |
