F1 - so it looks like we have a season of racing ahead of us!

I'm psyched to see the see-saw battles in the first three races of the year. I wish I could watch more actual racing but at this point that's not an option.

It's on like Donkey Kong.

Both Ham and Vet know how to roll. The unknown is Bot. Then you throw in the Red Bulls and all the performance changes with wider shoes and lower wings. Looks to be a set up for some exciting racing. Actually looks like the removal of Bernie as dictator has really livened things up.

I'm stoked

2 teams in the mix for the win is way better than 1

The increased development this year may help red bull catch up but I doubt it, still, they will be able to mix it up when things go wrong for Ferrari or Mercedes.

If Renault can up their power unit game it would be huge, red bull, toro Rosso and Renault all have good cars this year.

Mid field battle is probably going to be just as exciting this year.

Also, the maclaran drama should be interesting to follow.

Yes good season, but we need a third team in there. Don't know what's up with Red Bull.

I've always been an Alonso fan and still think he's the best driver all else being equal, but does he have the worst timing and judgment when changing teams or what. Now McLaren is trying to appease him with the Indy 500, but he'll certainly jump eventually (to Renault?).

And I meant to add that Haas is yet another unknown, but might be a spoiler, too. Couple times last year they looked like they were ready to break out, but got snake bit.

Mercedes should hire him, Alonso is a great driver and it would be great to see him in a great car.

It was hilarious to see him tearing it up with the back markers last race.

I hope Mercedes loses the constructors championship this year because of their conservative Botas choice, toto manages him and probably hired him just for his share of the contract. They should have got Alonso.

I'm heading over to Monaco for the first time for the race and I think this is a hell of a season to go see.

They have been suffering from "brake problems" for a year!

How can you have brake problems for a whole year!

They are buying the hardware for the brakes from Ferrari and Brembo, if they can't make proven hardware work how are they going to design something advantageous of their own ?

I'd just like to see him in a semi-competitive car, Renault, Williams, Force India, who cares. Like no other driver he always makes his teammate look sub-standard.

But no, let him go race that stupid, has been, if I can't get a seat in a NASCAR truck I'll settle on the IndyCar series.

Aero packages can affect brake cooling and make the best of hardware ineffective or fragile.

They might be off just a little bit with their brake cooling or air flow in those areas and that would do it.

They seem to think it's a mechanical consistency thing.

Great to see Ferrari back in the hunt.

Surprising that Honda is still having so much difficulty with their power unit.

+1. Mercedes has the qualification pace but the race is a different story. Its painful to see Alonso in a car that is not competitive...I really love F1 but that engine noise is the most pathetic that several hundred horses can make.

Interesting qualifying at Monaco. Kimi's first pole in a long while, Grosjean 8th, Button and Vandoorne 9th and 10th, Hamiltion 14th, and the Williams team struggling into 15th and 18th. Too bad that both McLarens will have to start from the back.

Jenson Button looked pretty good for someone who hasn't raced F1 in a while.
