Manga & Bikes

I'm so used to seeing the "real-life" photo ads in cycle mags, that these manga drawings kind of threw me for a loop. Apparently, they're from some Japanese bike review magazine.

Not surprised. Most of Japan (or at least many creepy 40 year old men in the news reports I've seen) are in love with a digital pop-star.

FSA makes/manufactures a good portion of the 'colnago branded' components.

Printed out a couple of those and slapped them on my daughter's manga-dominated wall... amazingly, she saw them and did not immediately tear them down!

Thanks.

Campagnolo sales in Japan are HUGE, btw-as are European brands in general.

You are on a slippery slope. Next thing, you'll be dressing up like a Japanese School girl and reading Manga.

Hey, there's absolutely nothing wrong with a grown man dating his pillow.

A coffee table book from Japan called "Bicycle Life with Kawaii Girls" that features top Manga artists and some of their bicycle culture drawings. It seems they have a real fascination for folding bikes, too. http://cdn.halcyonrealms.com/anime/b...t-book-review/

Amisports sells a lot of manga bike stuff.

And here are some crazy disc wheels:
