I just saw something interesting about the cameras that are being used in the attack. If you reboot them, the bot goes away, but other bots are constantly scanning, and the device will be reinfected in an average of 5 minutes.

I have my garage door on the internets, maybe I should disconnect it.

Funny thing about Al Gore. One of the last programs he pushed through as a senator was to do research in internet infrastructure, i.e., putting things like power plants on the internet. My boss got a $10 million grant from that program. And no, there was no worry at all about security.
