Experience with VO thumb shifter mounts?

Looking to mount Shimano bar con shifters on the top of road bars. VO says theirs accommodate Shimano 8-9-10 speed, and fit both 22.2 and 23.8 bars (mine are road so 23.8). Anyone tried these? Are they one-size-fits-both with shims for 22.2 and no shims for the 23.8? Other comments or observations? I've used Paul Thumbies on other bikes but they don't make the 26.0 version and they seem to be quite rare
Thanks

Yes, they use shims. I've used them and they're fine.
