One of the first CSIs from early 90s probably. At that time there were any lugs available for the ovalized tubing as I recall. Some were made of True Temper, and others later of Columbus...

It's a custom (top tube is about 56 cm), but I've never been exactly sure what model it was. Beautifully made bike, with the 1/2 fillet brazed and 1/2 lugged tube junctions.

Does anyone know for sure what model this is? Pete?

Thanks in advance for any info anyone may have! :-)

CSi San Diego

...with a few upgrades, including Ultegra 6700. Gotta love it. CGS62287, JB paintjob. I can't imagine EVER getting rid of this.

Bah to not posting images well....sorry for bad post...got a decent few pics of my CSI S&S coupled...will see if I can overcome this technical n00bness.

~~~
OK...well, can't seem to get the images to post larger, but...
Here's my belated CSI posting:
Serial #: 0S 55L 225.
S&S coupler retrofit & paint by Bilenky
2009 Centaur 10 speed bits, save '96 Chorus brakes
Mavic Open Pro rims laced to (front) '96 Chorus hub & (back) '09 White Industries hub
Bars: Nitto Noodel
Saddle: Flite Trans Am from a few years ago.
Rides sweet...makes it hard to really need another steel bike. Here's the (small) pics (taken from the riding around Ireland in Spring '09):
Very nice. BTW, are you sure this is "OS" instead of "CS"? It looks like this one was built a little before my red, white and blue CSi.
@regularguy412: thanks...MUCH better...would you send me a PM on how you did that?
@Keith A: you're right...on second look the serial # is CS 55L 225. Was hard to see with the paint and my old eyes .
Doesn't have a lot of stickers on it, for better or worse. Didn't mean to make it that stealth, but Bilenky didn't have many stickers at the time and it was a rush job for a European trip (got to love Italy!).
Just won this one with 100% filet brazed headtube joints. Wish it had the half and half joints. Any thoughts or comments welcomed.
Glad it ended up here. I would have bid more if I hadn't gone to sleep.
I put in a bid but held the line at $300 including shipping. So I'm sorry if it made you pay a little more! You still got a great deal though and will love that bike when you take it for the first ride!
My CSI is a 2001 custom 60 x 60 with 2 cm head tube extension and TdF lugs that I bought new - CCS 60 1962. Originally it had an F1 fork and a red/yellow fade paint job, now it has a custom steel fork made by Dave Kirk that matches the F1 geometry and a Joe Bell paint job in pearl white with a red head tube and seat tube panel, red in the lug and 3D dropout windows and black pin striping on the lug lines. Pictures of both paint jobs are in the gallery.
Yep I guess I outbid you then. I'm pretty happy with the price. It wouldn't have shocked me to see the price go double or a bit more. I'm seriously considering a repaint since I got it so cheap and I'm a bit on the picky side to say the least.
Orange CSi
I've attached a picture of my CSi frameset which I acquired several months ago. The actual picture is a stock photo from the seller and I haven't taken any more since the bike is still only a frameset hanging in my den. When it gets build I'll post a new photo. Serial number is CS 56 1497.
