We ordered a soccer goal... been playing in the backyard with my son almost every day for a bit. He's going to flip when the goal arrives, he doesn't know.

It might be hard to convince the wife and would require unnecessary trips to the hardware store/home depot but I'd get a super kick out of building a small bouldering wall, probably behind our garage.

The other one.. and this requires it to be a bit warmer perhaps is I have everything to make myself a homemade fuzz pedal for electric guitar. I have it built on a breadboard... I have a circuit board to transfer it onto, I have the housings, switches, the whole 9 yards. I need to finish that project. Main challenge being drilling the housing.. I don't have a drill press that is realistically good enough, I'd have to try and start it with my dremel drill press and then finish it with a hand drill. But soldering the circuit board together in my garage workshop might be kind of crap till the weather gets better. I have a heater but I need the garage open to do that much soldering.

I should probably be ordering bike parts to overhaul both my road bikes too.. but that's big bucks. I bet that would cost more than doing the rock climbing wall idea. The rock climbing wall would be $100-200 of holds I'd have to order + a bunch of 2x4s/4x4s, a few sheets of plywood, and maybe some concrete. I have some of the stuff already.

Before going on an 18 mile solo ride I started what will be a most excellent baby lima bean soup with ham hocks.

Now I will do actual from home work and my taxes.

Just cleaned up the leaves in my yard again for what seems like the 100th. time. Courtesy of my neighbors, who never seem to touch theirs.

Pretty simple.
1 pound dried baby limas
Quick method is:
Cover with water bring to a boil for 2 minutes.
Let stand for 1 hour
Drain water, cover with cold water
I add 1 small diced onion, 1/2 diced green pepper which were sauteed, whatever veggie floats your boat but onion for sure
2 small ham hocks
Simmer until beans are tender- 2 hours roughly
Remove ham hocks-chop meat into small pieces
I smash some of the beans to thicken the soup- to your preference
Add chopped meat back in
Serve with dollop of sour cream, favorite hot sauce, diced jalapeno, chopped cilantro, what you like

Finished photo will appear soon. ....Yep it was good.

That's a really nice work setup!
Thanks. I'll be interested to hear what size tires will fit. I don't have any 650b wheels but perhaps I can borrow some for a trial fit. I'm hardly doing any all-pavement road rides these days and don't need any more bikes with 23-25 mm tires. I'll bet the Centurion has been sitting there for 6-7 years.

I can't remember the book...it was the mechanic's bible back in the late '60s, early '70s...but I do remember that it specifically warned against doing exactly this to a 3 speed hub, without the appropriate tools. Hell, I had a crescent wrench and two screwdrivers! It was the only repair the book warned against. Everything else was fair game...

If you need help with that, just ask.

Note: I'd prefer mine with powdered sugar!

I'm sure it's a great bike but it doesn't look like you. Nice platform for art though.

I'm still building wheels..DT350 to Dt411 wheelset(times 2) and today, Bitex to Quill rims..soon a DT350 to a BTLOS rim.

Well, building wheels isn't hard but can be difficult. Certainly a challenge and certain basic 'tools ARE required. Biggest problem I'm having is getting boxes to ship them. My local source(ProsCloset) is closed.

BUT sure, if you can get a rim, spokes and hub..give it a whirl. Lotsa of really good online tutorials.
