Which is exactly my point. Why would I decamp to Portland to look at one or two frames that probably wouldn’t fit me? Unless I timed it to coincide with a group ride with a few of my Paceline buddies, of course.

That said, if you plan on going, could you report back on any 58s? 🍻

I don't think we're the target for the sale though. It seems like they've bled off some staff, and don't want to (or have) the ability to serve customer's who want to order used stuff from them...

That said, I wouldn't fly in for this sale unless there was something else planned.

2) If anybody is serious about traveling to Portland to see the sale, I can offer a queen sized bed/spare room for Friday night. Saturday I'm off to Bainbridge Island for a bike ride/family thing.

I really don't think that's their target market. It's a garage sale. Cash and Carry. If you're local your lucky. I really don't think they want to deal with shipping stuff.

Ah well, I just thought we were both entertaining ourselves, it's a garage sale event not a change in corporate policy.

And as mentioned I can't imagine it's a big pile of bikes 50% off its a pile of extraneous stuff that needs to go in order to make room.

We’re not closing, but after 23 years of evolving one idea of how to be in business, Speedvagen and Vanilla will be going through a much needed metamorphosis. In the meantime we’re getting rid of a bunch of excellent items that we don’t need!
