I put an extra shop towel or old T shirt on the floor under the bike, do the messy work and use the towel to clean up whatever else gets on the floor. Not much issue after that. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

What is the red peg board system you've got there? I may need to look into that.

That’s just the standard white pegboard from HD cut down to size and then I sprayed the whole thing red. Wanted to add some color and it’s easier on the eyes than the expanse of white.

thanks everyone and I should say,
thank you Evan (donevwil) for the awesome Eddy calendar. He sent it to me early this year while I still live in Brooklyn, knowing that eventually would have a place in my shop and it is probably one of my favorite things I have hanging on the wall. My new doggo name is Stacks. We adopted him from the local humane society. He is 2 and is amazing. We lost our dog Gus this summer, he was the best. We missed having a dog so much that we broke our rule of, we are going to wait a year. Got Stacks (Short Stacks is his full name) and he has been a great guy. |

I'm happy to have a dedicated room in the basement, with heat, power, lights and a door to close. Previous owner of the house lined the entire shop with pegboard...we moved in two years ago, I'm just now sorting out how I really want it arranged...and how bikes can share a space with woodworking equipment... |

But seriously...professionals define "cleaning and putting away tools" as part of the job, versus a separate task... |

Andy, how do you like that Husky tool box? Just picked one up on Black Friday, and plan on using it for the same purpose.

Looking at this again...is your workshop on the second floor, with the window looks down into that tree? Maybe an upper bedroom converted? If so, how do you get bicycles, etc. up there? The stairs are wide and comfortable enough?
Also, for some reason I really like those Elephant NFEs. The color is so perfect; I always loved the old USFS Internationals that were that color....talk about patina! And the photo in the "Snow" thread is nice too. Never seen one irl, though, let alone ridden one. . . |

There are some really cool work areas. I am jealous. Mine is modest but I have got some ideas. Thanks!
