I work for WB Discovery and am currently in the NYC HQ.
MAX is an evolvoing entity right now. We have so much content and just aligning all the sports content is a massive undertaking. The acquired sports catalog (Eurosport, TNT, TBS, Bleacher Report, etc ) is currently under the Bleacher Report header on the app. B/R has recently moved into the building here and they are building out their production footprint so coverage will only get better. Sports is definitely a priority here, it's exciting to watch it all come together. I still miss my GCN+. |

Stage 6 on Thursday is going to be cool. Right through Tuscany, and a few gravel roads to make it interesting. Volterra is a beautiful city.

I don’t mind the coverage but man, not being able to fast forward on the Max TV app is so crappy. You can only do 10s at a time and have to click the button each time which takes nearly as much time as just watching!

Which App are you using? On the Roku App you can both fast-forward and rewind at multiple speeds. Push FFW button once and it starts fast-forwarding, push the FFW button a 2nd time and the fast-fowards speed increases, pressing it again, and the it fast-forward speed increases even more The same with rewind speeds. When watching a replay, a small box shows a freeze frame every few seconds, so you can get an idea of what you fast-forwarding or rewinding over. You can also fast-forward and rewind during a live broadcast, but the freeze-frame box doesn't appear.

I was asking Weisan when he uses Australia and Belgium whom the announcers are
Sorry for the confusion. Would like to find a way to watch tour and get the crew we have now Quote:

I’m digging the Giro coverage on MAX. Having spent 16 years in Europe, Eurosport was always so cool. You never saw reporters on screen, as one just tuned in the sat receiver to the language of choice. The bigger the sport, the more languages available: Tour de France, plenty of languages, European Handball? Maybe 4 languages. It’s neat to see the reporting crew now.
Do miss seeing the Shimano or Sidi commercials, but then again, MAX is commercial free and it’s the entire stage! Hope it sticks around. |

On my Google TV app you have to hold the FF button down for like 5 sec then in will go to 2x hit again to go to 3x and I think it stops at 4x with another hit of the button.

Maybe I have missed it since nor glued to the coverage but there doesn't seem to be much discussion about the bikes, how they are spec'ed, etc. The RAI broadcasters would really get into that.

Man, we got a new TV and it’s the Sony smart TV system and it doesn’t have that. We had a Roku before and it’s a superior smart TV OS for sure.

I also have a Roku TV and the FFWD and RWD works great.
Heck if your Sony doesn't let you do it. I'd spring for the most basic Roku just for this feature alone, I think they have a really basic one for $20. |
