Then let's talk about the present first. If you are in a USAC event and have an injury that requires medical attention at the site, it is imperative that you notify the officials so that they can log an occurrence and pull your release form. You will not be able to file a claim with the USAC payer without an occurrence. If the occurrence is serious enough where you cannot notify, we usually know about this and an official will get your race number before you are carted away in the meat wagon.

I don't see any changes to this kind of insurance model. Personal medical insurance will cover all activities but sporting activities must have their own event insurance.
