Agreed. Mine came in at 8:26pm the next business day. The money showed up in my account the following day, with no notification.

Dave, my email from Chace came 36 hours after I turned the car in. a number of my friends had the same ~36 hour response time. Then the money showed up about 8 to 10 hours later. Mine was Tues turn-in, Wed email, Thurs deposit. So with your Friday turn-in I would guess you will see the email sometime Tuesday and your money Wednesday

expecting to lease an Allroad shortly before Sportwagen turn-in date. pretty much the only car wife and i can agree upon, as we're a 1-car household.
once we got our electronic paperwork in, it was about a week before we got the offer. still need to get the stuff notarized.

Not a big deal here in the US, and it's not obvious it's diesel-related, but now France is after Renault for emissions cheating. Given that the French government is the single largest shareholder in Renault, I suspect they will need some Chinese firewalls to allow the investigators to do their work without interference.

What has you motivated to spend the money for allroad over the alltrack?

My wife finally got someone on the phone today about the buyback, we should have approval any day now to get a date. Paperwork went in Nov 1.

When are the 3-pedal golf all-tracks going to be available?

we'd really like something hybrid, so we need to lease something that will get us through the next 2-3 years until there are more suitable options on the market.
i'd be OK with the gas Sportwagen but not that enthusiastic about it, wife wants to go upmarket.
Allroad is considerably nicer than the Alltrack, ie quieter, more comfortable. we do a fair number of multi-hour drives, so quieter at highway speeds will be nice. i'll miss the 45+ mpg pretty badly though.

Check the space inside the Allroad pretty carefully, though. I've not seen the new model, but the one 2 years ago was tiny inside compared to the JSW - not nearly large enough to put a bike in with both wheels on. The new one's supposed to be larger inside, but none of the articles ever really specify how much larger (litres of space just don't answer!).

My GSW seems really quiet

at speed. Have no basis for comparing, but I love the quiet.

We are in the same boat. We tried hard to like the Prius, but just can't. What's on the horizon in the next several years that excites you? Unfortunately, the wait list for the more affordable Tesla together with their interesting plan to deliver vehicles from West to East means that I probably couldn't get one until about 2021.

not really worried about putting bike inside with wheels on. honestly, nothing yet. the Kia Niro looks like it could be decent, but probably won't be at all exciting when it comes out.
the whole Prius line is really ugly and not at all fun to drive.
an Accord wagon hybrid would be interesting, but the likelihood of that is basically nil.

I got the GSW 'S' 4 motion..parked the JSW TDI for a few weeks at my son's house, then drove the TDI to the dealer(on the highway) for the buy back and the GSW seemed 'much' quieter, particularly at 70 mph..YMMV and all that but the GSW seems more 'substantial'..

For right below..no kidding..new AllRoad starts at $47,200..yowser. Twice of my GSW..but if ya can, sure..

The new platform that the GSW is built on is much better than the JSW. That being said the new Audi allroad is really something and is significantly nicer than the GSW. But you pay for that.

Finally made it to the next step. I got my offer signed, notarized, and uploaded back into the system.

Now another step to wait on.
