Finally found a Large! Wheel decals need removed, fork decals need a color change.

Low gears

Parts for lower gearing arrived today, just in time for D2R2 tomorrow.

It's Castelli Day at Chez Reuben.

Left to right - Diluvio, Pioggia, Perfetto. The Pioggia seem really nice for a rain/wind shoe cover. The Perfetto have tight cuffs that are tight to get on, but seem OK after that. I'll know better when the proper weather arrives.

Wow! How long have you been in the queue and when will it be done? Is this your first English? Looking forward to seeing the finished project.

Man—looking forward to this one—I’m crazy about Rob’s bikes—his solutions consistently surprise and delight

Well with cold wet conditions keeping off the bikes for most of the past week I've been online shopping too much.

Veloflex Record tires, Vittoria Latex Tubes, and Keo Blade pedals for the CAAD8 from Merlins, just arrived this morning. Oh, and a new Fizik Saddle and some BR-7800 Dura Ace calipers that should be here sometime this week.

Then for the CSI I've got purple handlebar tape coming along with yellow bottle cages and purple bottle cage bolts.

I keep oogling some light carbon wheels for the CAAD8 but that needs to be an after Christmas buy.....maybe.

Wife and I are focusing on gravel next season, so we splurged on a pair of 2022 Checkpoint SLs.

I bought an SL7 (carbon wheels, Force AXS 2x) and she got the SL6 (alloy and Rival AXS 1x). She still have an older Madone WSD Project 1 for road. I'll likely consolidate some bikes and use the Checkpoint as my primary ride.

The SL7 is estimated to ship in early November (Yay!). The SL6 in January (not too bad, given Shimano builds are slated for sometime in 2023!!!).

I finally found the final piece to complete my Aethos build. However, this time of the year, I focus primarily on gravel. So I’m using the stack of parts to motivate me to drop 15 pounds…. looking forward to riding it in the spring…

I have a set of Campagnolo Zonda rims arriving today or tomorrow.

They replace Fulcrum 5 wheels that I use in the shoulder seasons (to preserve my zero nites for the summer)... I've broken the same rear spoke three times now. LBS says the wheel is garbage (less than 5000km on it)... regardless, i don't trust it now. Last time it broke in early November I was 100km into a 160 ride and literally out of cell service for my provider. Luckily my riding partner had service and I called the auto club to come get me. I hate when a ride ends like that.

New bike helmets and riding gloves for the two daughters for Xmas.

For me, just ordered a pair of Vittoria Corsa G2 gumwall 25s and a couple of latex tubes from BTD.
