if you have a roof with valleys, that can be problematic. you'll need special add-on fences and other accommodations to keep the focused waterflow from running over those spots even with just a light sprinkle. we still have a couple minor trouble areas, but it's the middle of winter and not easily fixed until springtime. My last house I had K Guard (I think that’s the name) installed and they are great although the leaf burden isn’t too high on that roof. Probably will try it on my current as we have a lot of leaves and roof is very high.

I've red oaks and wild cherries in the back with river birches in the front; Spring clutter consists of seed fines/strings and Fall with endless oak leaves that fall over the course of 2 months.
I have used an extension ladder with a 25 foot max working length and stabilizer bar across the top. That's always been my least favorite chore by a mile. Screening covers do make make the job less frequent. For the last 2 seasons I've been using a long 3-piece telescoping extension pole with an attachment that looks like large spring loaded salad tongs that are actuated by a long pull-string. It takes some effort to use but keeps me comfortably on terra firma. It works very well, albeit not on those unreachable sections such as those that are above a lower roof.
