Seven's disc dropouts are really long, plus there's a pad for di2 cable right at that junction so it looks a little bumpy (other than that just poor photo resolution I think).

I don't have a vision yet, but your post got me thinking.

Our son is on a study abroad right now and when he gets back we'll get on it.

As I mentioned, he's doing gravel distance races this summer.

Some of which are in southern Minnesota, where we actually have river valleys.

Loads and loads of climbing down there, so we'll see what he wants.
Cool...

I know the terrain well. I have ridden a big chunk of the Driftless and even went to school a million years ago in Winona MN.

Like I said most of this was a swap from a mountain bike. I'm a big fan of 1X and suspect this will move in that direction at some point. That said for flexibility this 2x10 setup would suit me just about anywhere and it's all virtually new. I should just stop thinking about it and ride the hell out of it. :-)

Have fun with your son!

First (outdoor) ride on the Serotta HSG CX I redid recently (and posted on the custom bikes forum).

Gravel, frozen lakes, and old ghosts for 57 miles or so. A good day to (finally) get outside.

I posted this in the Custom gallery a while ago but with the switch to ~~~road plus~~~ I think I can officially deem this a gravel bike. I built the frame in a class last year and have been riding it as my commuter/winter bike.

You must be so tempted.

What are your thoughts on U.P. vs Mosaic?

PDW City Full Metals from when the bike had 700c wheels and narrower tires. I need to get wider ones. Probably Planet Bike Cascadias.
