I have no details on the road rims, but mountain bike rims look nice. At least as nice as any other similar rim that I’ve seen.

Take a look at post #48. Someone took a screen grab of a pub video that might have some “reliable” specs on the rims.

Thanks, I saw that video. I think most of them were MTB rims, but still a good resource.

There are two road rims on the drawing in the bottom right. Looks like 17mm internal for both of them.

FWIW they took down the 40% off banner. The code still works or at least it did when I checked earlier. So if you are on the fence perhaps now is the time to decide.

not to beat a dead horse, but the code TAKE50 gets you half off now.

All of my R45 road rims measure 18.6-18.8mm internally, this includes all of my 55, 45 and 32mm rims and wheels.

Let us know if you find any deals on 20/24h road hubs, I've already ordered a set of Novatec in black for $90 just to get started, and see that Bitex has a silver offering for $160 from online sellers (my spoke inventory happens to be all silver, so...).

I’ve bought way more than I should have. There are still a few things I’m keeping my eye on though. It’s for sure getting picked over. I just got a nice castelli jersey $60 and another pair of smith glasses though.

I built a wheelset with those 24/20 Novatec road hubs, they are surprisingly high quality. My only quibble is they were assembled almost completely dry, I added just a bit of grease in the various spots where you think it’s needed and they’ve been flawless for many tough miles on gravel/dirt roads.

That's good info. Do you know the weight on each? I snagged a couple of the 55s and I am excited to build up, but maybe a 32 might be good as well.

Question

"Pub PC 700R-45-TL-24 Bike Rim"

I assume this is a 45mm deep 700C rim with 24 spoke holes? Anybody know if the remaining 700C rims are the same width?

Thanks, Doug

Ugh more money out the door but I think I am done. It’s getting really picked over.

Scram Mtb brakes for like $16 will be perfect for an older bike of mine.
