I just had this frame built by Walty. I'm absolutely in love. Clearance for 32s in the rear, I need to find a suitable 1.5" tapered fork with more tire clearance. These are 28mm actual width on there right now.

One of Mikes last frames, and it's a pretty amazing bike.

I have three that I think are about as close to perfection as possible....a Hampsten Strada Bianca, a Losa built Schneider and a '79 Pogliaghi.

I'm going to help this thread maintain some integrity toward the original idea of Rim Brake Perfection.

Compared to this, every bike posted so far looks a lot more perfect. But this one has two wheels that are more or less straight and roll well enough, brakes that kinda work as long as you don't ask too much of them, and handles not like a dream but at least like the mind-meanderings of a mostly-unconscious afternoon nap. That is to say, it's fun, and it's got a saddle cover (wrinkled in a very devil-may-care sort of way) that matches the groovy paint job, which makes it even more fun. But definitely not perfect.

Two words: Columbus Tenax. The components on that model fail to live up to the promise of the frame. E.G:
