Flatter is even worse... 38 secs wont be enough if TD have a great day in the ITT. UP and down ITT at least quintana has more chances but flat? not good for him.
The biggest difference between quintana and td is that TD looks like can get strength out of nowhere but when quintana is done he is just done. Just looking at the positions my bets are that mollema and zakarin tomorrow will play all or nothing to get a shot on sunday's ITT. Not counting in pozzovivo because he really cant TT but who knows. IMO the only thing TD needs to do tomorrow is just stay there and do not chase anybody because he is the only one from top 10 that really can take time back from everybody, meanwhile quintana and even nibali gonna have to get more time plus respond to the attacks of the other guys. If TD doesnt get dropped at monte grappa he will be ok because probably will happen the same than today, quintana, nibali and pretty much everybody dead at the foza climb. |

If everyone's legs are the same tomorrow as they were today (big "if" I know).
Then I can easily see TD taking back pink in the TT and both Pinot and Nibali passing Quintana for the podium... Pinot has been looking very good the last 2 days, heck he might even pass Nibali. |

Pinot was the only descent attack today.

The Piancavallo climb was tough. We did a 31k warm-up before we hit it and boom, immediately double digits began flickering on the Garmin grade window.
More beautiful scenery on the day. Water the color of aquamarines. Gorgeous crags. Typical Dolomites! But the climb. They warned us it was going to be a toughie and it was, but not as hard as Mortirolo or as long as Stelvio. Lots of riders massed at the bottom waiting to get psyched to start. You rise pretty quickly and get a good view of the valley. Once at the top we changed clothes and settled in to today's viewing spot, right on the start/finish line. The only non-video I took from up there was of Dumoulin limping home. But I think he'll still be good to grab back pink in Milan, assuming he doesn't bonk tomorrow. After the stage we took a helicopter from the finish area to our next hotel. Not a bad day!

Tom Dumoulin is a worthy winner for this year's Giro and possibly for a couple more grand tours in the years to come.

I do not see Quintana that good today, same with nibali...in a matter of fact katusha did great neutralizing movistar, wonder if their plan is just do not loss time today and gambling in the ITT because pretty much everybody but pozovivo might get minute to 2 minutes out of quintana tomorrow.
