I have one on a build and it's a good BB. Kogel makes good stuff.

Kogel makes excellent ceramic bearings, so yea, the BBs are good.
That said, I haven't had any trouble with a modern BB in years. All of the major manufacturers make a good, durable BB these days, as long as your frame is prepped properly, you wont have any problems with any of them.

I currently have 2 Hawk Racing full stainless steel on my bikes, T47i and a standard outboard T47 BB. I have been using Hawk BBs for years and sold them at the shop for many years when I worked there. I never had a customer come back, these were for Trek BB90 BBs, and those frames would blow through bearing. Zero maintenance is needed and they spin like butter. Ceramic is marketing, I would but the Hawk full stainless BBs up against any BB out there.

Yes! Ard and team at Kogel put out a great product, albeit at a higher price but hey last forever, have perfect tolerances, and provide fantastic support as well if you need it.
Bonus: They also offer road and cross seals on all their BB bearings so you have options depending on the conditions you plan to ride in. I've bought new and used Kogel BB's for various bikes. Wouldn't look any other way in the future. |

Kogel
I have a Kogel BB and pulleys on my Enve Melee.
I had been using CeramicSpeed stuff- But CeramicSpeed is more expensive and I needed a placeholder. I also wanted the heavier duty seals on the bb. 1.5 years later it is still on my bike and functioning well. |

I had Kogel BB on my CAAD10 years ago (when I was riding 4x more than I am now) and it was flawless for the 5 or 6 years I had that bike

I mean is Kogel any better (more reliable) than CeramicSpeed --it's competitor in the ceramic world? That is the question I'm mulling over. I do see that CS is maybe $100 more expensive than Kogel though.

This is why I started looking towards Kogel.

Kogel and C-Bear are both really good and competitive price wise.
