I have the standard (non tubeless) agilests in 700x28 since last fall and can confirm they are awesome. Favorite road tire currently.

FWIW, I ran Pari Motos tubeless on Blunt SS rims without issue, but I'm from Kentucky and don't know no better.

I'm pretty sure I have these on my 650b conversion. Is their 650x38 (they call it 1.5") not TLC for some reason (running mine with tubes because I find tubeless fiddly)?

Edit: I'm positive it's TLC

I'm running Agilest 700x25 on the Supersix and they seem to be nice tires, and they are light to be sure! 190g each is what they were on my scale.

This size has been TLC for a while. I think 1.75s came out in 2017/2018 and 1.5s came out in 2019 or maybe 2020?

To get back to OP’s original question, it does look like Panaracer is releasing a new mold for the Gravelking line. My guess is that it will be something high volume, bikepacking friendly, knobby. They haven’t updated the Driverpro in a long time, maybe something to replace that?

Thanks all, I got confused by the language on the Panaracer website, which in one place says only 42mm and up tires are TLC, but then also have a table showing that the 38 is TLC too.

Called the X1, has some features that look neat but overall not really a mover for me.

The entire lineup is new - they changed the casings on the rest of the tires, not just the X1. Looks to be fewer SKUs as well - I didn’t see any 650b SKs for instance.

Can’t seem to find any details on compounds or if they changed them.

They also mention “TLR and hookless compatible” - were the previous GKs “tubeless compatible” a la Rene Herse?

Pretty sure the label currently reads TLC. Not sure what Panaracer takes that to mean.

It will be interesting to see how their claims shake out in a year or two when they get through Bicycle Rolling Resistance testing.

Quote:
▼ "STD" spec Achieves a smoother ride and higher puncture resistance than the old ST spec ※ Rolling resistance: Approximately 18% lower than the conventional STD spec ※ Ride comfort: Approximately 4% lower than the conventional STD spec % improvement ※ "Std" specs are not written on tires or packages.

▼ "R" spec focuses on lightness, flexibility, and ride comfort. Also realizes reduced rolling resistance

▼ "+" spec Improved puncture resistance in all directions including side cut ※ Rolling resistance: Approximately 31% lower than the previous + spec ※ Ride comfort: Approximately 6% improved than the previous + spec

Not loving the jump from 30 to 35mm for the slicks and semis. 32 is what it's at for me.
