Camelback Podium Stainless & Titanium
Was at REI recently and saw that Camelback now makes the Podium bottle in stainless and Ti.
Have we talked about this yet? Anyone tried these yet and have feedback? @100 bucks a bottle for the ti models, they are not cheap, but probably can last a very long time. It's defintely only a matter of time before you can order custon matching bottle anodized with your bike, just like the Silca pumps, titanium bottle cages, etc.

Have I been drinking from my Camelback bottle wrong all these years? |

If the top is all plastic, is there really a benefit other than the spending more than you flex?

It will look like crap after 3 or so months of use.

I’m with the others. I squeeze and make no contact with the bottle, ever. Hard pass if they expect me to be sucking on a dirty piece of plastic or silicone.

I have a new Bivo (https://drinkbivo.com/ ) that I think is great. It holds my ice water for a long time- I get home and still have ice in the bottle.

I’m holding out for carbon fiber bottles. Or at the least butted ti bottles.

You don't squeeze them. You tilt and they flow freely. Only a couple of rides with them, but I like them |

Before we get too far down this discussion, it should be mentioned why these new Camelback Podium waterbottles are made from stainless steel and titanium - they are vacuum insulated (i.e. like a thermos bottle), which is not practical to do with plastic bottles. The caps have vent tubes and a high flow valve, so the liquid pours out when the bottle is tipped over.

What do you do if the welds on your bottle are nicer than the welds on your bike? N+1?

For the sort of connoisseur who rides, or admires, a Sturdy 3d printed Ti bike I think.
