Thanks guys. It's definitely quote a drastic change from 26" 90's MTB to 700x34 CX/Gravel bike. And these are always fun to build.

Are you running gravel King sk 35mm ?
I'd love to shave some weight and I have already dropped close to a pound off of the bike. I have some more plans to drop another half a pound and call it good but in the end, I know weight isn't much of a penalty, especially here in flat coastal TX.

The two gravel races I was on GravelKing SK 50c. ETS and lately I've dropped to SS 43c. I love running semi slicks. Got inspired after bombing many many miles of gravel this summer in CO on my road+ Bowman on 32c slicks.

The bike was built as an adventure/monster-cross rig. It's 650b but can be run as a mullet. Lots of braze-ons, fender mounts and clearance for 2.5"s w/out fenders.

I tried to keep the build local-ish, hubs, cranks, BB/HS are all White Industries (Petaluma CA) Paul Comp stem (Chico, CA), Dingo Bags (Chico CA).

Bars are Salsa, shifty bits and seatpost are SRAM, saddle is a Ti Swift I got from a forum member, rims are Stans 30mm ZTR (wheels are also from a forum member).

I have a Pass and Stow rack (Oakland, CA) coming, Tyler is giving it the same finish as the frame.

Thought I would throw this up. I have a love of "modernizing" vintage frames if I find them already stripped and in need of serious love. I did all of the paint and restoration.

This was a ~1978 Miyata Liberty I found on CL for $50. Shown here with 38c tires and a bit of a hodgepodge of parts. Forgot to shift to the big cassette, kinda ruins the shot for me.

Shifters: Shimano 105 5700 (10spd)
Cranks: Origin 8 w/ RaceFace Narrowide 1x ring
Derailleur: Shimano Deore

What a cool frame building process. He's definitely got to love what he's doing to put that kind of artistic effort into every frame.

OLD BIKES FTW. Great resto and great final result!
