Velotel, my first time reading your posts. Thank you for taking the time to share your wonderful experience. I truly enjoyed your writing and it made me wish I could have been there...perhaps one day I will.

I am usually pretty happy with the roads that I ride, but when I see your pics, my normal roads seem rather pedestrian by comparison.

Thanks for the post, Velotel. Helpful in trying to figure out an Alps itinerary for next summer, probably based on Bourg d'Oisans. Will look this one up on the maps.

Was hoping, though, for a pic of another view - of that waitress you fell for!

Cheers,

TV

+1!

Great writeup as usual, and enjoyed the pics and Maxn's video in the other thread. With your writing, pics are hardly needed. Well, maybe

Cheers!

Well geez, thanks for all those comments. Wasn't expecting that at all. Guess I'll just have to keep doing my ride descriptions.
Thanks again

You're right, I did. Your dirtphalt ride deserves more people. Looks like a fun one. I'd join it if it was within driving distance, as long as there wasn't a helmet rule of course.

Velotel, what car do you drive over there, and what rack do you use? (obviously thinking of a trip there)

Second question: If you were to recommend one place to base yourself as a month to two month bike tourist in your region, where would that be. With car, and, maybe more important, without a car.

I'm new here, but, went back into your TRs. Pretty cool stuff.

Velotel has a stable of high dollar wheels, but today it was the Ford (I can't remember the model .. kinda like a Kangoo). I think he says that he can get three or four bikes into the back pretty easily.

I'll leave it up to him to recommend places, but it will depend heavily on what time of year

Lovely post Velotel. I rode some of that in 2001, my only tour of France.

I always enjoy reading your ride reports and viewing your photos. Please keep them coming. If making a reference to anything of particular beauty, please try and include a picture!
