Front Rack for Serotta ATX

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about putting a front rack on my city cruiser. Any suggestions that would look good/work?

Guess it depends on your budget and what you intend to carry?

Very cool bike, by the way.

Scores low on looks but I’ve found a flat porteur rack the most versatile and useful. I have a Pelago with associated bag (bought here) which I love. I tried a basket for a while but it give problems on some large items like a pizza box or a basketball.

For style but less functionality a shiny Rando rack would be very nice on that bike.

Either Nitto if you want to do it up fancy: https://www.benscycle.com/nitto-m12-...p?idsku=651380, or

A similar generic if you want to go cheap: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805937131328.html.

I think the Pelago is the right choice. Thanks for the suggestion.

Nitto always has nice stuff. I like the wider rack from Pelago.

I tried to use a Pelago on a fork similar to the one on this Serotta and it wasn't a great fit. I'd recommend the classic Nitto rack + Wald 137. And as to not damage the paint on this frame, I'd probably use a Nitto M12 as it attaches to the brake studs. And then just ziptie a Wald 137 on.

Like so:

Nice, not a lot of ATX's out there. Wish I would have ordered mine with a rigid fork instead of the rockshox. I replaced it with a vintage rigid fork but don't love the chrome. I think I will turn mine into a single speed. currently a 1x8.
