Sealant - how often to change/refresh?

For road tubeless, how often should one refresh the sealant? Do you need to clean out the old and then add new? I'm using Stan's sealant on a Stan's 340 wheelset with Schwalbe One tubeless.

Thanks in advance...

With Stan's, probably every couple of months as if not ridden globs into a lufa sponge looking thing. I'd recommend cleaning it all out and get some 'OrangeSeal', doesn't grump, seals great, lasts longer, doesn't eat rims.
