Rust?
Wonder if the red-ish is internal rust? May be a bigger issue but any decent frame buildercan eval and perhaps repair. Mark Nobilette is one, local

No personal experience, but Craig seems to have a following with this sort of work. Great looking bike btw.

that being a steel frame, and given the location, my instinct tells me that's a piece of cake for any frame builder who works in steel, it's right at the attachment joint.
any frame builders local to you? most of the recommendations from this forum will be US based people, which, given your location would be cost prohibitive from a shipping standpoint.

How long ago was it repainted? If it was recent, it's odd that the painter wouldn't have noticed it. Craig is a great choice, but the first person I'd call about repairing a CSi is Kelly Bedford.

If you can't repair it economically using a local framebuilder let me know and I'll see what we can do - we're in the UK, so less expensive than posting to the US.

I don't think it will be necessary to repaint the whole bike after the repair, only the rear triangle. That said colour match may not be obvious. I would go creative and have the rear triangle painted gold to match the decal outlines

Think I've seen this CSI before, but that's a lovely bike. Seems that if financial considerations are important, sending it across the pond for a repair may be out of the question.

Hey George,
These guys did a nice job on a Ti frame of mine, the price was very reasonable. They are on the east coast US. It shouldn't cost too much to send a frame there. www.bilenky.com See you soon I hope |

Considering your location, off the top of my head....
Savine - Daniel could handle that no problem. KTM Bicycles - I don't know if they still do steel, but I know they used to extensively. Jaegher Airlight Steel Race Cycles - Who I cannot confirm or deny will be Spotlighted soon. Talbot Frameworks - As seen above, more than capable of handling it. (And also possibly spotlighted very very soon ). William |

I would think about repainting the triangle and fork tips black. Whatever the case, I hope she gets fixed. It is a very pretty bike.

Neil @ Talbot Frameworks those are some great photos! ... good to know you're over there. Next time I'm on that side of the pond I'll surely stop by.
For steel or titanium repairs, Bilenky is a good choice as is Carl at Vicious Cycles, in New Paltz, NY |

Many good suggestions, of course…but…this is a pretty simple repair and could/should be done locally.
Here's a couple Swiss sites I stumbled upon: http://manofacto.ch http://fahrradbaustolz.ch/en/service/reparaturen -Mark in St. Louis |
