OT: Lets see those not-so-daily drivers...
The Bike Price thread had me thinking that with the plethora of meticulous bike builds around here, there are bound to be some equally stunning cars.
I'll start off, heres my 1972 911T. I pulled it out of a barn where it had sat for 10 years and after a mechanical refresh, have been enjoying it. I regularly go back and forth between throwing on some wider fenders and dropping in a 3.6 or just keeping it mostly period correct and enjoying it as is while I find another project. Car has the original engine and trans but its since been rebuilt to 2.7 RS spec. Untitled by Kyle Hitz, on Flickr Untitled by Kyle Hitz, on Flickr Untitled by Kyle Hitz, on Flickr |

Hi Kyle, cool car!
The beauty of 911 is that you can update/backdate throughout the product line with relative impunity. With regards to rear flares, I would avoid them since every Targa I have ever seen with them just looks wrong from the proportions standpoint, and will drop the resale value quite a bit, since you have an otherwise relatively correct car. Enjoy the narrower tires and go kart-like handling. Maybe change sways/torsion bars/shock absorbers to make it handle even bette. Putting a 3.6 in it as a mixed bag-less maintenance, but more weight hanging off the back of those rear wheels. Honestly, you can’t do much better than what you’ve done with the car. |

Here’s my new not so daily driver: 2008 Tesla Roadster #364. Last week to replace the 2004 Porsche GT3 I sold to a friend of mine. The car is a hoot to drive, and I love the electric propulsion.
Also, Photobombing in the back right is my 1971 911 T/RS clone, with a twin plug MFI 2.7 911S motor with E cams and short-geared LSD trans. |

I have always loved Mustangs. Carroll Shelby is the American version of Enzo Ferrari and this car has so much fun inside the hood.
Especially when you do fun things to it and boost the BHP up to 11. I am not treating this like a garage queen nor am I going to make it a collector, but it stays inside when snow is on the ground. Boy is it a blast to drive. |

Nice ”stable”.
Two beautiful rides. Imagine that horse had 10 times the purchase price and has 10 times the maintenance costs of your other steed. |

Here's a picture of the early model 2014 C7 that I got in October of 2013 and the hot rod that I started building in 2013 and finished in July of 2016. I sold the Corvette almost 2 years ago. It had 5600 miles after 4.5 years. The hot rod has about 6500 on it. I drove it very little last year - may sell it soon.

Some great cars allrdy and i have a feeling theres gonna be quite a few more to come.
I have had this for a couple of years now. I drive it only in the summer and maybe i total at around 1500 km or there abouts. So perhaps a 1/10th of my total miles on the roads is in the car and the rest on the bicycles .) I love it, in all its quirkiness. If you get one because its a wonderful car you will likely love it. If you buy it because you want a sportscar you will likely be disappointed I was originally set on getting a 69-72 911 coupe but those prices just skyrocketed whilst i was searching for one. Lot's of cool cars so far! These two look like they would be a blast:
I've been through a series of air-cooled Porsches, but traded them in on an older Italian about a year and a half ago.. |

This one has been in the family since about the turn of the millennium, barely 60k miles. Likely going on the block at some point this year. 1996.

Not in the same tax bracket as the other cars shown, but driving it still puts a smile on my face. It's a 1991 Honda CRX Si with an added turbo and NOS. At less than 1 ton and pushing 270HP without turbo lag, performance is respectable...
