Look vs Shimano Pedals

I have been a long time user of Look pedals. I have had a hard time getting the cleats as far back on my pair of Sidis as I would like. I recently acquired a pair of Specialozed S works shoes which allow me to get the cleats in a more comfortable rearward position. So I have a couple of options... Modify the opening of the Looks cleats or remove the washers to accommodate or try a different pedal. I know folks have a fondness for Ultegra/Dura Ace pedals. Anybody have an insight about the ability to get my cleats further back in the Sidis than with Looks? The Specialized shoes are good but I do prefer the Sidi's.

Look vs. Shimano

I made the switch from Look to Shimano a couple of months ago.
To me, the Shimano feels like a more secure platform.
You are correct that you can adjust the Shimano cleats a bit more- but we are talking millimeters.
I don't think the Shimano has huge adjustments range. More like Look has very small adjustment range.
If you like Sidi shoes better you should see if it is possible to drill a second set of holes behind the drillings that are on the shoes.
If you have older shoes- experiment with the old shoes first.
