Family Fourth of July Ride in RI

I got up early to get a good ride in for the day and do some recon for the upcoming Ramble. I wanted to explore some roads that I haven't been on yet as well as check a few others to make sure they are open. I ended up getting between 50 to 60 miles on a beautifully warm day.

When I got back the William family informed me that they wanted to go riding so I got a quick bite, changed my clothes, and then loaded up the Cruiser. We headed for a bike path in North Kingstown that will take you to Calf Pasture Point...one time part of the old Naval Construction Battalion Center (Sea Bees)/Quonset Point Naval Air Station. It's not open to cars and there is one paved road and lots of trails criss-crossing the area. It also has a lot of beach area that is generally not occupied. Looked like low tide when we got there. The bike path ends right at the gate to CPP. The bike path is little used and well paved. The road through the park has seen better days but it's still a nice area to ride.

All in all, A good work out ride in the A.M., and fun family time in the afternoon....and a full day of riding for me.
