Skid Lid indeed! and protection was way better than the leather hairnets which were the standard in 1980.
Bell Biker came along and offered improved protection, sure, but Skid Lid won on style points!
(I applied red reflective tape stripes on the diagonal on mine, which in retrospect may have been over the top, so to speak. But it was the 80's, after all...)
