Consumer Reports 2017 top five
La Roche-Posay, Anthelios 60 Melt-in Sunscreen Milk, $36
Equate, Sport Lotion SPF 50, $5
Pure, Sun Defense Disney Frozen Lotion SPF 50, $6
Coppertone, WaterBabies Lotion SPF 50, $12
Equate, Ultra Protection Lotion SPF 50, $8

"Looking for a sunscreen you can spray? Trader Joe's Spray SPF 50+ received an excellent rating, along with Banana Boat SunComfort Clear UltraMist Spray and Equate Sport Continuous Spray SPF 30."

All the sunscreen on this top five list have active ingredients like oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, and octinoxate—or some combination of those chemicals. Avobenzone degrades in the sun, resulting in the release of free radicals that may actually increase the risk for cancer.

What I look for in an ingredient panel are mineral active ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, or both. Been using Banana Boat Kids Lotion. Works great however its hard to get off. I use a soapy washrag in the shower to remove it.
