I thought the Road Link helped with clearance on the largest cog, but couldn't find anything to tell me about whether it helped with chain wrap. Do you have any insights/experience about that?

I only had to add one link length (new chain) from my campy 12-29 cassette set-up. (I think there would only be a problem if I had an 11-32 as there might be slack in the 11-32 crosschain gearing, so I'll stick with IRD until Potenza has a 12-32 cassette)
Interesting. Running a 12-32 with a 50/34 you needed to wrap 36 (against the spec of 33/34 depending on what year Record rear). All other things being equal then me running a 50/36 with an 11-32 (wrap of 35) might just work. And actually at age 62 I'm probably better off with a 12 than an 11, but the IRD 12-32 is even more pricey than the Potenza 11-32.
