We have a 9s Shimano equipped Cannondale tandem. 9s Shimano cassette, 9s Shimano rear derailleur, some Shimano front. 2006 road tandem with cable disc brakes.

I speak Campy in terms of shifting so I put a 10s set of Ergo levers on.

Put the cable on the wrong side of the rear derailleur cable anchoring bolt. Zero modifications otherwise.

Absolutely flawless operation, all gears.

I put a smaller cassette on, I think it's an 11-28. Originally it had a 32 I think.

(Campy front is basically ratcheting so front shifter works with doubles or triples, and in fact I ran a Shimano front derailleur on my Campy Ergo bike for a while).
