Also, even assuming we are talking net worth, by your logic, never mind a $30k vehicle, a family with an eight-figure net worth would be crazy to buy a $3k vehicle.
Occam’s razor would dictate that it’s your standard that’s flawed (though i would agree that a $30k vehicle on a $80k income is a bit high).
