I'm hearing various rumors that McLaren approached either Honda Indy or Andretti to facilitate the deal. Possibly as an appeasement to Alonso after putting him in an awful F1 machine. He could do quite well, Honda Indycar is very capable this year and Andretti has their stuff together. The real question is how well Fred adapt to the flat oval.
