I'll rep for Detroit here. Not sure how widely available the products are, but if you find them, they're worth a try:
Two James Spirits: The first distillery in Detroit since prohibition. Their vodka is very good, I think their bourbon is great, and my wife is a big fan of their gin.

Valentine Distilling: Just outside of Detroit. Started with Vodka, which is very good, and just won some big time awards for their gin. Just announced that they're going to expand production and distribution. They make a helluva dirty, blue cheese olive martini in their tasting room on the front of the distillery.
