Serotta 2024 as seen at Philly Bike Expo
I had the great fortune of being able to attend the Philly bike Expo this weekend and look at some great bikes and meet lots of great people. This year I met Ben Serotta and saw the latest generation of the bikes. They are really cool!
The build quality, welds, tube shaping, paint, logos are all spot on. Some of the bikes had the new E37 head tubes that allow a 1-1/8 / 1-1/4 tapered fork to be used on a head tube size that looks balanced on bikes metal tubing imho vs 44 mm size ht. Anyhoo just wanted to share. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2f1c0627b4.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dd161f6a11.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e328889e6c.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a9f0399956.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7091771d90.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e06a53cec7.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6108c21e1a.jpg |
How much for the blue one?
Looks like the deep ocean blue on my ColoradoIII. |

It certainly looks like a proper Serotta.
Who makes them this time around? |

That orange/pink fade is still the best. Too bad they didn't go with the green and yellow outlined logo and I still think the older Serotta logotype was better.
It would be incredible to get one but they start at like 6 or 7k for a frameset right? |
Sorry but that headtube/headset is fugly
|
Those painted bikes look great though the blue one's bar tape and hood positioning is odd.
|
I think they look great and really like the exposed cables/wires/hoses (or whatever they happen to be) of the pink fade and unpainted bikes.
Almost guaranteed to be beyond my budget, but I wish Ben and co. only they best. I'm happy to see new Serottas. -Bob |

Thanks tim pal for the report and pics.
I understand the desire to compare the new and the old... If you wish to indulge in the old times, go here: https://forums.thepaceline.net/showthread.php?t=301314 https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...4267f307_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...cfb608d8_c.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...3389021d_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...11223164_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...d4937bf3_h.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...dfca293e_b.jpg |

The pink fade scheme on Ti is a nice nod to the historical fades of Serottas glory days. Jon |
"Who makes them this time around?"
Tubing: Comes from Far East Forks: Far East I assume Cutting/Mitering/Coping: FTW in Vermont Welding: Don't know name (Andy?) in NY Paint: Jordan Low in MA Bike Assembly: Savile Road in NY Strictly my opinion, but a flat bar gravel bike painted in the fade like the original T-Max would have been awesome! |
Another brand slain by headset cable routing.
|
Integrated headset looks great to me.
