This one was new to me, and I really enjoyed it. Nothing like Jocelyn Lovell and Gordon Singleton on a track tandem!

New to me as well. Jocelyn was an amazing rider on the track, and a pretty decent rider on the road. The one year I participated in the Canadian National track, he was there and crushed pretty much everyone...

Great post.
I did see this video, but has to be about 35 years since I’ve seen it.
Both Singleton and Lovell were amazing. Always lots of controversy surrounding Lovell, even had a different colour jersey than Singleton. (Custom and different shade of blue)
I actually got to meet Lovell as a star struck 14 year old, very cool guy.
Unbelievably tragic outcome for him a few years later.

So sad about Jocelyn Lovell, even if it did lead to the creation of Cyclops..

Here's a cool story about his two speed transmission track bike from 1980: https://bicyclespecialties.blogspot....wo-chains.html

Yes, Cyclops got started from his defunct attempt at frame building.

Mike Mullholand started Cyclops and he was such a nice guy. He was the club president of the first cycling club I ever belonged to.

Well.. defunct because he was a paraplegic. He sold the business to Mike after the accident. I believe he taught Mike how to braze.
