I've done this twice in the past. Amazing how fast people here have recognized the cars. But this time, no way is anyone going to get it off the first shot. I hope.

I'll start the wild guesses with Jaguar XK140. I really do think Jag but the model is random.

OK, how about a few hints? Country of origin? Era?

I personally can't nail it down from this single pic, but will throw out a WAG of an Alfa 2600 Zagato.

2000ish Mazda Miata? The curve back towards the front on that headlight (i assume) looks a little too sharp though.

What I assume to be a headlamp is probably too curved for that though...

the sharp horizontal crease and width of it looks just like the line on a corvette c4 front quarter panel, but the exposed headlight rules that car out.
