Wall rack thoughts?

These have a long segment in the middle for the top tubes. There's typically no risk to denting or bending top tubes w/ this sort of setup?

Is it just for a frame. Looks like it may not extend from wall enough to clear bars/peds?

Looks slick, and safe - what frame will you be hanging? I'd consider felt or something on that block of oak to prevent scratches.

I hang my CAAD (thin aluminum TT) on two el cheapo pipes from Harbor Freight with foam pipe insulation on them, never a problem.
Now what to do with the $148??

I think it is supposed to have enough room for a typical road handlebar or so they say...

Basically steel framed bikes; just worried about thin tubing sidewalls...but maybe I am being too paranoid as I assume they are build to withstand a decent amount of damage despite their thinness.

No I'm sure it'll be fine. it's just hanging on the thing, not banging against it

No risk of frame damage unless the big one hits and your building comes down.
I'm curious though, how does it mount to the wall? Spacing far enough apart so mounting screws hit the studs?

No, no risk of denting. Though over time you'll probably get a *tiny* about of paint scuffing.

While not as pretty, I use this because it fits two road bikes:

It seems pretty expensive for what it is. If you have the room you should just build you own.. it'll cost less than $50 and you can really hang an unlimited amount depending on how long the 2x4's are that you get.
