This is most certainly not intended to be smug. I am grateful to have never experienced any of the afflictions or maladies possessed by many people in this thread. Whatever I've suffered in riding has been a result of unintended kinetic interactions with the luck to have those happen both few and far between.
I see lots of riders of all skills and denominations riding in Central Park. Never have I seen more splayed knees, legs akimbo and wonky pedalstokes than in this meeting ground of crowded asphalt. This park crowd I don't take as reflective of the cognoscenti that inhabit this forum - but I might guess that lousy pedalstokes and bad fit & position will just prematurely burn up all the useful life in any number of joints so deplorably misused. Grinding on that bike right next to me. It is a shame.
Pistol squats!? What idiot came up with that move? Pure musculature and connective tissue ballistic annihilation. When they say "get ripped" in the gym, the guy that came up with this move probably misunderstood.
weisan-pal get your aches fixed. But first do no harm. Good luck and sorry I can't offer the tiniest bit of worth to this thread.
