Are these bars toast?

Took a very minor spill on some train tracks while stopped at a light. Stupid I know, but it happens.

Anyways, my bars have made a small creak ever since. Not all the time... just every once in awhile. Took them off today and found this (see attached).

How screwed am I? I'm a heavy strong rider, nowhere near the fastest, but I do put my bike through the paces.

Worse part about it, is that I'd been setting my torque wrench to 5.5Nm, only to find out that 5Nm is specified on the bars. Lot's of mis-info online. Find 5.5Nm and 6Nm specs for the bars on many shop websites.

Really don't need this added expense right now. :(

Contact Enve. Failure on bars is no joke.

if they're creaking now, and didn't before...maybe they loosened up with the impact??
try to loosen the face plate completely and re-tighten.

If not...??? maybe have a crack or some damage.

If something happened, and/or something visual turns up that makes you ask "are these bars toast," replace them. The bad things that can happen to you from a sudden bar failure are too nasty not to be conservative. Ditto for stems.

That's my opinion, and it's worth every single penny you are paying for it.

I am a wuss when it comes to my face and teeth.

Entry fee at my friendly dentist is more than the price of these bars. Ambulance ride? Hellooo Calfee....
