Frame Saver - Alternatives

Looks like frame saver is discontinued? Can’t seem to find it. What’s a good alternative? Amazon suggest Boeshield T-9. Thoughts?

Go to a boat store like west marine. Marine grade corrosion inhibitor is excellent and protects boat parts from salt water spray so it is damned good for inside your bike tubes. The CRC stuff is cheap and effective. Yamaha makes yamashield which is also good but there are a number of good options at the boat shop.

Rust Check is what I use. A little goes a long way and it's designed to creep into all sorts of crevices, seams etc.

ProGold makes a frame saver spray. I've been using it more since I've had issues with the original frame saver (owned by Q) became really runny and didn't stick and coat the tubing very well.

I've noticed it being closer to the original frame saver when Wiegle had it.

Fluid film. Available just about everywhere.

Fluid Film. Nothing works better, and the bonus is it's non-toxic.

Here’s a great (but lengthy) test of all the main contenders - with Fluid Film coming out on top.

Boiled linseed oil. Old school, I know but cheap and effective.

Nothing but Fluid Film for my steel fleet. Be sure to get the long plastic tube applicator.

The bat signal goes off at JP Weigle headquarters when this subject comes up, so he might reply. I recall his problem with fluid film was that it didn't get into difficult to access locations. So using the tube applicator hopefully fixes that.
