Starting all over...

Been thinking lately of doing something different with the RS road bike, not 100% sure what's going to be yet. A couple of ideas that get thrown around:
1) Do a 650b conversion 2) Install an sweep back or upright bar 3) 650bx38 tires 4) Fenders 5) Bell or horn 6) Platform pedals What do y'all think? |
this is the S&S coupled bike, yes?
if so, i vote 650 fixed gear bike with no rear brake. in this manner you can take it apart in seconds, with no cables running to the rear of the bike. fatter tires and lots of portability should make for some unexpected fun. handlebars of your choice. |
What a lovely bike.
7) braze-on mounts for direct mount brakes? |
Best troll post ever

I test fit a set of of 650b wheels with 38's mounted on my Sachs. Bottom bracket was far too low for comfort.

Recently, I took a custom steel cx bike and put partially swept Nitto Nordeast bars on it, 1x with a thumbshifter, flat pedals - now it's a townie commuter. and i adore it this way.

I just switched over from drops to flat bars on my Monster Cross for a change of pace, will be doing Paradise Dr. loop today with a friend. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/12246551

Don't forget reflectors on the wheels. I think this boy is just angling for another Sachs and this is how to get Richard to push him to the top of the list. |
