Yokozuna Reaction housing question
Trying to replace the brake cables and housing on my bike with Shimano R8000 shifters and TRP Mid-Reach brakes. Switching from Jagwire compressionless housing to Yokozuna Reaction. The diameter of the new housing is larger and it doesn't seem to fit into the slot in the Shimano levers. The Yokozuna kit came with step down ferrules, but they don't really fit either. What is the correct way to do this?

Sometimes people splice in a length of normal housing to go into the levers.
You can find a double female ferrule to do this. |
one of the cable housing companies makes exactly what you're looking for.....
I can't remember just yet... ----please stand by--- |

Splicing another cable type is a bodge defeating the benefit of compression less housing, transition less cable runs and allows for the ingress of dirt and H2O.
Sand the end of the housing down or pick up the correct size ferrules. |

Not complaining or arguing. I just want to make a clarification from someone who as actually used the recommendation, because these threads are often used as a reference, even many years from now.
