We got a lot of tall Paceliners!
Seems to me that we have a fairly large group (no pun intended) of tall guys on the forum.
I just read that echelon_john is 6'6". I am 6'5" Ray is 6'4" or so Kelly Bedford is similar height. As is William and a few others (I think) So if you are over 6'3" or so, how tall are you? If we could all get together for a ride, a fully loaded 18-wheeler could draft off of us. 6' 5" here. All arm and torso, my bikes are 60 x 62, 83.8cm saddle height.
It is nice to see pics posted of bikes our size. Truth is I can't muster interest in a sweet 53 or 55cm bike, but show the same one in a 60+, yeah baby. |
6' 6" here. Tall is my middle name....as is "Danger" and a few other words I can't repeat!:)

6' 3-1/2" here

master list added to my OP. because people love lists!
and I ride a 64cm. I gots long legs. |
I need William to get bored with more of his bikes. Not every day that you meet someone with such refined taste AND an ~85cm saddle height!
|
By "Ray" I guess you mean Ahneida? The poster known as "Ray" rides a 59cm frame.

Once you guys get done with the list, might I suggest y'all to volunteer to the mobile co's to design a mini-cell tower fashioned as a hat. That way you'll be doing the impossible - bring peace between mobile phone users and providers. :hello:
CellHead® FTW! |

I have never before felt so excluded for my tiny stature. Wait, I've remeasured, I'm actually 6'3" and .0001 inches.
Long torso and short legs, saddle to BB is 81.5cm, my tt range from 57.5 on my CX bike to 59-60 on the road, and just over 24 inches on my 29er. |
So 6'2" with my 78.5 cm saddle height is left out?
Awesome. |
Beat it, shrimp! ; )
Stick with miniature golf; we'll be over here playing basketball. Quote:

Yay, I feel so included!
6'-5" here. 62cm frames with 83cm saddle height. |
6' 3.5". 35" inseam. 60 to 62cm frame. Depends on toptube size.

Either way you decide height wise, I think my 230+ pound weight, and club nickname of "Boxtruck" qualify me as "large". :) Chris |

6'5" here
|
yep, 6'5" here.

6'6" (and 1/4" if I'm reminding my older brother that I'm actually taller). But I'm only at 85.3cm saddle height. I'm always amazed when I see Ryan Trebon at 6'5" with 93cm saddle. http://www.bikeradar.com/us/road/gea...od-disc-38731/
|
Same here. 6'6", ~95cm PBH, ~85 saddle height with 180 cranks.
60-61TT, 120-130 stem, 61cm reach from saddle tip to bars. I could probably go lower and longer at one point, but lack of fitness, lack of stretching and lack of necessity have led to sitting up a little higher. Still don't get how Trebon gets to 93cm...esp. considering he's still riding a huge TT, so it's not like ALL his height is in his legs... Quote:

Same height for me but
You would have to gain another 35 pounds to fit in my kit.

Call me shorty - I'm only 6'4".

i'm 6'2" and that's my frame size |
I'm 6'4" and I too ride 58s for a race fit. 83cm saddle height and 240mm steerer. I usually run a 25mm setback post an d a 120mm stem with 90/100mm reach bars. For my crit bike i run a straight post with a 130/135mm stem. Fits great.
I picked up a custom bike recently with a 60TT/64ST with a 100mm stem and 100 reach bars and it's also a great fit with a much less aggressive position. All the bigger guys here should really look into yoga and you have back/leg/knee issues. It does wonders for me and is far cheaper than physio. e - older now, run my saddles at 855mm, and mostly only ride 60+ frames. |
I'm running 130cm stem with about 12 cm of drop. I have long arms for my height and I like long and low.

6' 5" here...

850mm saddle height If its not 60cm or greater or an X or two in front of the L its just not right!! |
6'7"
86cm saddle height 63cm tip of saddle to center of handlebars |
